Front cover illustration for the Soft Matter research journal
The illustration was designed to support Patricia Yang's doctoral research at Georgia Institute of Technology, titled as "Hydrodynamics of defecation." The research finding suggested that most of mammals actually spend a fairly similar amount of time defecating regardless of their physical size. The research and illustration were published by Soft Matter and selected as the front cover story. The researcher and illustrator interview were published online.
